A+ for beautiful high-end packaging and attractive design, however, the 'clipping mode' doesn't lock into place at all making it overly difficult to maneuver. If you're able to get it right, its super sharp but the design flaw makes this product more trouble than its worth and therefore I would not recommend.

Pros: The packaging looks elegant and exquisite - great as a gift. Super compact & space-saving - put in my purse to treat annoying barbs on the way. Cons: Need more guidance on how to position it properly to make it usable. One reviewer has posted the correct & wrong way comparison picture.

These are super compact and they work very well (once you figure out how to use them!). They require a bit of a different angle for cutting AND you have to hold them differently than ones that don’t transform into cutting mode like these ones do. I didn’t even have to use the file after once I understood the cutting angle and style. The cut is clean and crisp.

These clippers fold down super flat and tiny and come with a nice leather sheath. They are extremely sharp and actually collect the clippings really effectively (I had no idea what I was missing before). I was only going to use them for work/travel, but loved them so much I bought more and now exclusively use these. You just have to make sure you keep the top part that pivots up pushed forward toward the clipper end, there’s a little metal step it has to sit on, otherwise it won’t clamp down all the way. Ingenious little design imo.
